Thanxs to for showing me this link. A couple of weeks ago, Corel Painter asked me to create some brushes that works in all versions of painter. It was truly an honor, i mean to be choosen, feels like a dream come true. I wanted to create a special set, with brushes that are easy to load, that are not slow. Also with settings that will get you to know the capacity of angle and rotation, without taking too much power of the computer cpu.
Tried to put the set of the most usefull ones i could think of, brushes that i use a lot daily, that gets me that good feel of blending. This is for the people that ask me all the time what brushes do i use, this could help you to get the basic idea of how i work. I love creating brushes, i constantly create them by changing the dabs or moving tiny details, but if you get this as a base im sure you can customize them to your liking. After all each, hand its different. Use brushtracking to your liking, remember the first thign you need to know its to customize your own brushtracking in preferences, so you can do light strokes easier, and heavy strokes with no pain in the hand. Please support Corel Painter by getting their brushes, if aint mine no problem, im sure you will find the set you will need most, there are other cool artists there. Here is the link.
Thank you for reading have an excellent day guys. Thanks for the link to the new 2017 Painter brushes. They look great but which ones are yours? I also wrote on your other page here. I'm looking for the brushes you used in the fantastic Manga video for Painter 2017. Brushes with names (or variants?) like: all mighty, mona lisa, superstar 8 (or B?), penny 8 (or B).

Are those available in one of the Painter packs? If yes, in which one? If not, could you make them available, for purchase even? I would be most grateful for that.
But if this isn't going to happen, which Painter brushes most resemble those? In other words, which Painter brushes are the basis of those manga brushes in the video? Again, many thanks for sharing that video and showing how you create a manga image. If you could reply briefly, that would be so great. Many thanks in advance!
No, my brushes are not online, well except the manga ones for painter 2016, but they are nothing fancy, they are circular ones, except for all mighty i think that was a captured, i change settings all the time, i erase brushes and create new ones, some of them i rename them again with same name. In painter brushes are not like other softwares, brushs changes alot depending on brush tracking, and brushtracking is really sensitive for each artists hand, this is what makes difficult to share brushes. I recmoned you to try all the brushes you like and try diffenret brush tracking on each one till you find the right spot that works for you. For most details i use the cover pencil brush by default, same for the square chlak for grain, you just need to try to test brushes and make your own set, this will make doing at more easier than using other artists brushes, this happen to me when i tried using the don seeg miller brushes, they work on him, but not in my hand. Maybe I should look around for it that way. Still, it would at least have to wait till I get my new desktop system built and set up. I have enough problems running Photoshop on my current laptop at times, and it's running out of space.
I don't know if it would work very well with another large program like that. What I meant about 'can't use it' were you're brushes. They looked really awesome, but they wouldn't be comparable with my current art programs. It's a shame that things like that are not 'cross platform'.

Particle and dynamic speckle brushes are new to Painter 2015 and 2016. They allow artists to create sweeps of 'particles' (speckles, lights, dust, etc.) across the canvas with a single stroke. They are physics inspired, designed to mimic real-world particles as well as the behavior of brushes with individual hairs. In this course, John Derry, one of the original Corel Painter developers, introduces the new brushes and shows how to control the size, shape, density, and randomness of the effects. You will learn what particles look like and how they are generated, and how to use the brush controls, Opacity slider, Shape attributes, and Color Variability and blending palette to influence the appearance of your brushstrokes.
John demonstrates all these concepts using a nondestructive, layer-based workflow and a sci-fi-inspired painting of the night sky, featuring the Milky Way. Instructor. John Derry is a pioneer of digital painting and one of the original authors of Corel Painter. Since 1985, he has leveraged his background in drawing and painting to advance the look and experience of traditional art-making tools on the computer. John has a master's degree in painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art, is a practicing artist and photographer, and has two U.S. Patents relating to expressive digital mark-making.
Adobe recently designated John as a Photoshop Painting Pioneer. He teaches digital painting workshops and holds a Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America. John can be found online. By: John Derry course. 4h 15s.
1,988 viewers. Course Transcript - Voiceover I'm John Derry, and in this course, I will show you how to utilize these unique brushes to create an ominous, sci-fy-oriented scene. Along with the brushes, we will be using a non-destructive workflow. This serves two purposes.
First, it enables maximum flexibility regarding your image. All aspects of the image can be adjusted after the fact, which brings us to the second purpose. Layering provides a safety net that encourages experimentation. Knowing that you can test a stroke out on the image before committing it opens you up to many new possibilities. Once you become accustomed to a non-destructive workflow, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. By the end of this course, you should be able to see that both the particles and dynamic speckle brushes have far more to offer than simply creating digital spirographs. Practice while you learn with exercise files.
